This Character "Brass Loriath to Tyrsani Karnage" is not mine. I have Kavsan and Brass Morith, and Lella of Brass Fonth.

Not that I'm complaining about my weyrling being a full rider or anything.. but I -did- just get done reading a Pern book that outlined the training schedule for weyrlings very very clearly.. and well.. they aren't even taught to fly until a full turn old at least... And that is a gradual process.. starting with short glides around the weyrbowl with only the dragon.. then using sand bags to get the dragon used to carrying the weight of their rider on the ground.. having the dragon carry sand bags that weigh less then their rider in flight and work up to their rider's weight.... again when the rider is added to the equation it starts with short flights and works up to longer ones... topping out at 6 hour round trip flights... and betweening isn't done until about the age you have them marked as now.. at best.... then they are trained on recognition points.. in air drills.. etc.. before being made full riders when their dragons mature at three turns of age... Just saying.. not sure if the history of this Weyr has effected the weyrling training schedule.. but it you are still trying to do -that- by the books you're timing is off..
