OVERALL APPEARANCE If you did not know Lamion, most likely you would describe him as a bear. He is rather tall, standing about four inches taller than your average male. His build is also on the thick side and life working on a farm has given him an amazing set of muscles; another side affect from his years outside is a dark, persistent tan. He has a rather sturdy jaw line and a strong chin. Interestingly enough, Lamion’s dark brown hair falls down to touch his shoulder and he is never seen with facial hair. Most of the time he pulls back his hair in a short ponytail with a piece or two in the front hanging like bangs over is amber eyes.Lamion has recently pierced his right ear and always has a small, silver stud in it. His clothes are usually in well taste, although he prefers to be a simple as possible. Lamion hates anything too showy, and likes nothing better than a set of worn work clothes.
PERSONALITY Ambitious; Lamion is an ambitious one, before he was Searched he wanted to become a Master Runner trainer. Now he dreams of impressing a bronze or titanium and becoming something great. Lamion will stop at nothing to attain his dreams and those now include impressing a high ranking dragon.
Determined; Lamion has the determination to go after these goals and keep at them, he will never stop trying to attain whatever goal he has his mind set on. He is also determined in his search for a good wife, though he will keep that on the back burner until he becomes a Master. He is also a good figure to keep at something when he thinks he could actually succeed at it.
Stubborn; Lamion is stubborn, he will not let anything go if he has set out to do it. He is also set in his ways, you will not change this man or his mind once he has decided to do something. HISTORY Lamion was born to his parents, his early o turns were simple he didn't even really remember them. It was when he was two turns of age that Alion was born, it was with the birth of Alion that he understood he was a big brother. It got him all puffed up and ready for what would come two turns after that. The birth of his baby sister, however her birth killed his mother so he forever hated his sister.
At the age of eight turns he was attacked by a canine, this caused him great pain and left scars both mental and physical on his body. After the attack he was taken home where he healed and then began to show an interest in Runnerbeasts, it was then that he was taught how to raise and care for them. He was an apt student always eager to please, it was when he turned ten that they began to teach him more and take him as an official apprentice.
At the age of twenty Turns along side his younger sister, he was Searched. By Brownrider D'mian, he took both Gloa and himself to the weyr. At his first time standing he was passed up and not impressed.
In his second attempt he impressed to the blindingly bright Arokath. Now the pair have been together for about two turns and are very close. Though Arokath is his conscience, keeping him from doing anything stupid again.

The thing about you that caught Arokath's swirling eyes was your ambition: he could feel it and the strength of your convictions across the sands, and he likes it. He, like you, strives towards great things. He wants the world to know his name-- and your name too, for you are his rider and tied to him in everything. His dreams are grand: weyrleaders, great weyrleaders, who bring Pern back from some great catastrophe and who the harpers sing about for turns to come.
What Arokath doesn't have, and what might make it hard to bring that about, is the focus to bring such dreams to fruition. He's not hyper or ADD- but he will fail to go through all the motions and carry through his plans. He'll need to be reminded, and gently steered-- your determination should help you with this. He'll give your dreams wings, and if you steer him, the two of you should go far.
Strangely enough, Arokath is a touch of a romantic. He dreams about golds not just for dragonflights- he yearns for companionship. You're a great companion, of course- don't get him wrong- but you aren't a female. This isn't to say he won't participate in every flight he can- by contrast, he will, because he probably won't specify who he wanted companionship from. If he looses, he'll be distraught- he'll constantly want to know why that other bronze won, or why that blue caught the green. Why were they better then him? But the memory will fade quickly, and then he'll approach the next flight with the same romantic vigor. His romantic dreams are a bit more long term, in you; he wants you to find someone. He felt your dream of a wife, and he knows that's not possible anymore- oh, dragonriding. But he still wants you to find someone, and he'll urge you to that whenever he gets the chance. He'll give you advice (granted, who knows how much romantic advice coming from a dragon can really be applied to humans), and he'll comment on the girls around you, too.
There is no doubt in Arokath's mind that he can do anything. The idea that he might fail isn't a reality to this dragon- if anyone attempts to temper him with that reality, his response will be confused. Confidence comes as naturally to him as breathing, but it's a double-sided coin: it also comes with arrogance. The belief that he's capable and can do anything is so ingrained it makes him think he's better then other people-- including people who've proven themselves past his experience. Privately, he'll scorn the weyrleader's dragon, because clearly, he's better. He probably won't mean to disrespect anything to their faces, but the arrogance is as natural as the confidence, and he might phrase things callously. This you'll have to watch, or it could put you in some sticky situations with your superiors.
With the arrogance comes ideas about birthright-- he is, in his mind, the equivilant to what a lord holder's son might be, he was born to be better then the world, simply by the virtue that he is a bronze. Usually these are kept private, just between you and him, or occasionally just to himself-- but his perceptions are there, and color his judgement of everything. He WILL look down on other colors because they are not bronze- every one except Gold. He won't mean it maliciously-- of course they have their values-- but they are not bronze, you see, and that's the main thing. Bronze is better. He's a lordly little creature.
Arokath has few reservations about taking risks; if risks are called for, he will take risks! And he's very lenient about what calls for risks. He's surprisingly agile for a dragon his size, and will dip and swoop in an attempt to match the blues and greens-- he won't succeed quite as well as they do, of course, but his bulk adds in an element all of it's own. His reasoning is that worlds weren't won by people sitting back and being careful, and thus if you're content to be safe, you'll never expand further. Along this comes Bravery-- whers, lions? He'll face all of them down, and he'll never back down from a challenge, no matter how scared. He enjoys trumping his own fear- roaring in the face of it, if you will. Don't worry, though- he's strong enough to overcome most challenges, even if they get the better of him at first. As long as you keep him from the truly dangerous things, his strength will carry him through.
Arokath is also very honest: He strives towards being genuine. If total honesty were possible, that would be his goal- in it's absence, he seeks to get as close to it as possible. This is also a double-edged sword-- his honesty will lead him to making callous remarks, in the name of honesty; he won't soften his observations. At the same time, he won't mean malice, and if you want someone who will give you the truth, there is no better person to ask then Arokath.
APPEARANCE
Arokath is a blinding bronze color, he could almost be confused for a gold if one were to just glance at him. He is an almost redish gold on his top half that fades into a bronzen color on his main body and that again fades into an antique bronze on his legs. He has splotches of lighter colors on his body in the areas of redish gold and bronzen.
