After the Disappearances of the Dragons of Pern, the last queen to die managed to lay her clutch. She laid in on the Sands of Benden, experiments were done on her eggs and new colors were created from them. They hatched healthy and well, things seemed to go all right until the dragons were fully grown.
The Dragons were few in number first one of the golds rose, she clutched and brought more dragons into Pern. That wasn't what began the issues with the Lord Holders, no that didn't happen until the father of one of the new colors had her dragon killed. They lost a Blood Dragon and her rider, D'mian of Brown Hunth incited Trial and caused many problems with the Holders.
It was a mere six months later that the Weyr decided that it was time to move. The Holders tensions were running high and the dragonriders weren't doing all of their duties. They tried and failed, so they decided to move. But not before Lord Silas of Benden was killed by D'mian few people know of it.
The entire populace of The One Weyr of Pern moved to another location this Location was High Reaches it was far from any political issues that may stem from the problems of the Holds and their hatreds of the Dragonriders. It has been exactly one turn since the issues with the Holders and the Halls, the Dragonriders suffered a great blow to their leadership with the murder of the Senior Weyrwoman. Aesta was killed, it was a tragedy and that is what caused the move. The riders knew they would not be safe at the One Weyr.
With the move to High Reaches there comes a new acquaintinceship of their Home, many riders have moved homes and the Weyrlings when they arrive have a new set of Barracks to call their own. Research has begun into why the dragons disappeared in the first place, so far nothing has come up to date.
The information they have on it so far was that the dragons for some reason vanished because they were beginning to suffer from some form of illness. They did not want to pass it to their riders so they vanished in an effort to save them, or so that is what the Healers assume had occured.
